You are invited to four nights of live music this week at Soul Bar Hanoi.

1. Soul Cocktail #8: Felipe Salas Sandoval: 22/08

Felipe Salas Sandoval is a music composer, performer, producer and sound designer. His most recent solo project, SalaS, blends melodies and rhythms of South American Folk with popular music, combining electric guitar, voice and other musical instruments with music technology, loop techniques and electronic music to bring to your ears an interesting fusion of music and atmospheres.

2. The Middle: 23/08

THE MIDDLE is a musical duo of Ian and Tab formed traveling in California and now traveling in Vietnam. Tab and Ian blend vocals backed up by rhythmic riffing guitar. Their influences are drawn from folk, blues and rock but are always exploring new sounds and forms. They focus on original music but with a mix of some old school blues and rock covers.

3. Qhawekazi & Numbfoot: 24/08

** Qhawekazi is a contemporary jazz singer originally from South Africa. Inspired by the voices of Erykah Badu, Nina Simone, Miriam Makeba and Ella Fitzgerald, her music traverses from Jazz to blues, Soul to world music.

** Numbfoot, the ongoing music project of musician Brett Zweiman, is an improvisational rotating line up, playing psychedelic noisy droney rhythmic jams, Combining drum machines and synthesisers with live musicians from all over the world, Numbfoot strives to make you lose yourself in their unique brand of Psychedelic Move Music.

4. A jazzy night: OnNi & Salas: 25/08

On Ni is an American vocalist hailing from Maryland, USA. She studied vocal performance at university in New Orleans, LA where she trained in classical and jazz repertoire and sang in her college acappella group. Since settling in Hanoi, she has been a part of many musical projects from reggae bands to synth pop ballads. On Ni enjoys singing a wide variety from folk to rnb.

OnNi will share the stage with Felipe Salas Sandoval at 9PM – Saturday 25/08 at Soul Bar!
