From Okia Cinema:
THE RUSSIAN OCTOBER IS ALMOST OVER!
Here comes the screening schedule for the last week of The Month of Russia!
This last week, we focus on the most romantic movies of Russian cinema in the late 20th century. These are the love stories of all kinds: extravagant and tragic, sweet and upbeat, painful and earnest… “Station for Two”, “The Barber of Siberia”, “A Cruel Romance” – each work is a period of history told beautifully through love stories.
After the 3 romantic movie opening the week, we will get to see a modern Russian movie “The Thief” with a cinema language seemingly disconnected with that of the previous generation.
This week will also introduce the most prominent Russian contemporary director – Andrey Zvyagintsev with “Leviathan”.
And a Swedish movie out of nowhere appear among the Russian ones :-). This is a gift for small children and grown-ups with a child-like souls: “Emil of Lönneberga” will be screened for 2 sessions on Sunday morning and afternoon.
