From the organizer:

The event is under the framework of “Cultural and Creative Hubs Vietnam”, a three-year project co-funded by the European Union and the British Council, and implemented by the British Council in partnership with Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts Studies (VICAS) between 2018 and 2021.

Vietnam is witnessing rapid urbanisation that is coupled with a blooming young population. Significant economic growth in the past decades brings about numerous opportunities for developing the nation’s creative industries in the most urbanised centres such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang.

Signified by the ratification of the National Strategy for the Development of Cultural Industries to 2020, vision to 2030, an exciting outlook has been opened for the creative and cultural industries in Vietnam to grow and flourish.

Cultural and creative hubs – organisations and businesses working in the arts and culture sector – are the key players in the creative and cultural industries. What role do they have in shaping Vietnam’s creative economy in the context of the 4th industrial revolution that the country is embracing? How can they contribute to the implementation of the National Strategy for the Development of Cultural Industries to 2020, vision 2030? What could be the best possible conditions that foster their role and contribution to this exciting journey of developing the creative industries in Vietnam?

The British Council in Vietnam proudly presents a national symposium ‘The role of cultural and creative hubs in the creative economy of Vietnam’, introducing the network of cultural and creative hubs in Vietnam and invite discourses around developing the creative industries in Vietnam in the context of the 4th industrial revolution.

The event is held by the British Council in partnership with Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
