Friends of the Garden: Call for Entries
Deadline: 15 Dec 2018

From the artist:

Would you like to empower your child’s artistic side & connect them with other children from all over the world? Each illustration submitted will come to life in a unique animation in the “Friends of the Garden” music video. Deadline is Dec 15th. Send all artwork and entry information to [email protected].

Artist/educator, Michelle Stewart, has just released her new children’s album, Little Folk Songs, and would like to invite you and the little ones in your life to get involved in her next music video for “Friends of the Garden”. This is a call for entries for young artists to submit a drawing and watch it come to life in a unique animation. Whether you are a parent, teacher, or grandparent, this is an opportunity for our youth to connect with each other across borders, with other children all over the world. If you or anyone you know might be interested in this project, make sure to pass on this invitation, so as to include young artists from all 5 continents!

“Friends of the Garden” is a song about garden insects and the good that some of them (specifically butterflies, ladybugs, bumblebees, and dragonflies) can do for plants.

Listen to “Friends of the Garden” here

The idea is to:
1. Draw one or more of these- and only these – insects (i.e. a butterfly, ladybug, bumblebee, or dragonfly)
2. Email me a photo (high quality) of your drawing along with your name, age, and location to [email protected].
3. Watch your artwork get animated in the music video and see your name in the credits!

Get the kids involved and empower their creativity with something they can be proud of! As the flyer says, any medium will do. Deadline is Dec 15th.
