Group Open Studios “Lèm dì dị”

Lèm dì dị is a series of group open studios with the participation of more than 20 artists/artisan/art practitioners/art enthusiast from all over the country who currently live, practice and work in the Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa.

The series of events includes two open-studios at three locations scattered throughout the city from Dam Market to Co Tien Mountain with works in a variety of practices and materials, including Performance, Ca Tru, Installation, Video Art, Handcraft, Water Puppet. The creating process of these works reflects such specific interaction between the physical body and elements in the natural and human environment, signifying collective history, individual and collective memory at the place where the artists were born and/or raised.

In the spirit of learning through play, the works are mostly presented in a continuing state, much like an unfinished conversation, a flexible circuit that evokes new dialogues, new contingencies and intertextual connections from the spectators.
