Founded in: 2021

Lân Tinh Foundation is a non-profit organisation established by Vietnamese curator and art researcher Ace Lê in 2021, with a mission to support the curation, research and archiving activities of modern and contemporary Vietnamese art. Key projects include research consulting for private and public collections, curatorial and educational support for exhibitions, and the Lân Tinh Fellowships programme for artists and art researchers.

Its notable activities in 2024 include the Open Studio – Botanical Art: Scent Station, artist Hoàng Anh’s solo exhibition “The Outlandish Landscape” featuring 30 works on Dó paper, “Modern Totem” – the residency programme within the Ồ Ạt 2024 project. It also provided art consultancy for the second UOB Painting of the Year competition in Vietnam, painter Việt Anh’s debut exhibition – “Morphing Wonders” with 37 oil paintings, KOICHI’s exhibition “Sumo Kō: The Paradoxical Charms” with 46 works using materials such as kaleidoscopes, sculptures and LED neon, artist Đinh Quân’s solo exhibition “Celestial Dust” featuring 40 lacquer works, artist Nguyễn Văn Hè’s open studio event Art Barracks, and the exhibition “Ephemeral Dimensions” by artists Nguyễn Việt Anh and Mifa with over 25 oil paintings on canvas and and acrylic paintings on Điệp paper.

HANOI GRAPEVINE’s FINEST is an annual event that honors contemporary art projects in Vietnam. The event is organized and nominated by Hanoi Grapevine and the general audience.

Entering its 6th year, Hanoi Grapevine’s Finest aims to go beyond an annual honouring event to become a contemporary archive of Vietnam’s art and cultural landscape, as well as a foundational platform to promote interdisciplinary collaborations both domestically and internationally, towards an open, fair, and transparent ecosystem.

This year, Hanoi Grapevine’s Finest 2024-2025 is divided into two major categories: Honouring and Recognition. Nominations are selected based on sets of criteria that aim to highlight the developmental significance and scale of impact, including activity level, community impact, creativity, organisational capability and artistic quality.
