From the organizer:
With a mission of bringing academic art closer to the Vietnamese public, from April 26, 2025, the Vincom Center for Contemporary Art (VCCA) opens the digital exhibition “Happy Accidents”, showcasing nearly 150 most examplary Pointillist artworks by 10 world-renowned artists: Paul Signac, Georges Seurat, Albert Dubois-Pillet, Anna Boch, Camille Pissarro, Charles Angrand, Henri-Edmond Cross, Maximilien Luce, Théo van Rysselberghe, and Vincent van Gogh.
“Happy Accidents” is a highly educational and aesthetic event, part of the “World Art Masterpieces” exhibition series held annually by VCCA since 2019. This initiative aims to widely popularize the fundamental cultural and artistic values of humanity to the public.
This marks the first time classic Pointillist masterpieces are introduced in Vietnam in digital format, presented in rotation through high-tech projection. The VCCA space is elaborately designed, with carefully moderated lighting to bring each artwork to life—immersing visitors in an artistic universe where music and painting engage in limitless dialogue.
Through the exhibition, viewers will have the opportunity to experience and explore significant works of art history that are rarely accessible, as these masterpieces are typically housed in major museums and private collections around the world.
During the exhibition period, VCCA will also host a series of satellite events such as talks, art tours, and workshops, offering audiences multiple entry points into academic art.
