In a context where art is increasingly intertwined with social issues, inclusion is no longer a supplementary principle but a foundation for conscious practice—where artists and practitioners question the right to be present, to participate, and to co-create.
The workshop “Inclusive Arts in Action: Developing Inclusive Coordination Skills for Cultural Programs” is designed for organizers, coordinators, and art practitioners who seek to create truly equitable spaces for work and creativity.
Led by speakers who are persons with disabilities and experts in social fields, the program offers not only theoretical tools and organizational skills but also immersive experiences, role-playing, and peer exchange. These elements aim to reimagine artistic practices that are collaborative, inclusive, and deeply engaged.
This workshop is part of the Inclusive Arts Programme initiated by the Goethe-Institut Hanoi, in collaboration with and co-organized by the Hanoi Disabled People’s Association (DP Hanoi).

About speakers
Pham Quang Khoat
Vice President of the Vietnam Youth with Disabilities Association
Mr. Phạm Quang Khoát is Vice President of the Vietnam Youth with Disabilities Association and Vice President of the Hanoi Disabled People’s Association. Former President of the Hoang Mai District Disabled People’s Association. With over 18 years of experience in the disability field, he has participated in numerous specialized training programs on inclusion and accessibility, including courses by ESCAP – United Nations. He has lectured for Mekong regional projects organized by Stockholm University (Sweden). With strong expertise and deep practical understanding, Mr. Khoát is a trusted companion in awareness-raising and social inclusion programs for people with disabilities.
Dương Thị Vân
Co-founder of DP Hanoi
A pioneering activist for disability rights in Vietnam, with nearly 40 years of experience. She is co-founder of DP Hanoi and the ICC Center, where she currently serves as Director. She has held key leadership roles in national and international organizations, contributing significantly to policy and legal frameworks related to disability, including the Law on Persons with Disabilities and accessibility standards. As an educator, author, and consultant for organizations such as UNDP, UNICEF, ILO, and CBM, she is a prominent figure in promoting disability inclusion in Vietnam and the region.
Nguyễn Thị Mộng Thu
Social Program Manager at Tòhe Social Enterprise
Ms. Nguyễn Thị Mộng Thu is Social Program Manager at Tòhe Social Enterprise, where she coordinates educational and artistic programs for children and communities with special needs. Since 2016, she has developed and implemented intervention centers, social protection centers, and educational facilities in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hoa Binh, and Cao Bang.
She leads a series of art exhibitions and workshops to raise awareness about autism, including Parallel Worlds (2021), More Than One Perspective (2023), and Chèo Méo (2024). She also co-developed Link đình—a UNESCO-funded event under the Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2024, aimed at creating inclusive creative spaces for people with disabilities.
With 8 years of experience designing programs for diverse groups, her practice focuses on integrating art, education, and social development to foster connection and community inclusion.

Tòhe
Tòhe is a creative social enterprise in Vietnam that provides art playgrounds and skill development for disadvantaged children, especially children with disabilities, through creative education. Founded in 2006, Tòhe designs interactive art programs that help children express themselves and develop personal thinking. Selected artworks are transformed into fashion, stationery, and gift products under the Tòhe brand, generating income to support scholarships and capacity-building for the children. Tòhe’s unique model blends education, art, and sustainable business, offering a new approach to social inclusion and creativity.
