From the organizer:
Tâm Đỗ and A. Farm warmly invite you to a collective writing session where we will reimagine and rewrite an unfinished chapter of the past. “Nhập vai Ký ức” is a satellite program of 6 PM in the afternoon. The day was long. The night was too long. I was always in the past…</em>, a duo exhibition by artists Tâm Đỗ and Lê Đ. Chung. This workshop, an effort to expand Tâm Đỗ’s practice of speculation and dream, invites participants to explore the possibilities of interpreting history through personal memory and experience.
We will begin with a real letter, now displayed at the Southern Women’s Museum. It was written by Trần Thị Mẫn—later known as Trần Quang Mẫn—a woman from Vĩnh Thạnh, Kiên Giang, who disguised herself as a man to join the army during the war. Her life was a tapestry of combat, love, and escape. With Tâm Đỗ’s guidance, we will live the life of Mẫn and collectively rewrite a fragment of her story.
