Since 2000 years ago, Ao dai has appeared in Vietnam. The ancient designs have slightly changed but its meaning and soul stay the same.
No one could say he/she fully understand Ao dai because the design, material or seam are just the tip. In additions, we are not confident how to wear Ao dai appropriately in special occasions. That’s the reason for us to make this event.
About “Nếp nhà”
“Nếp nhà” is a series of stories about familiar cultural topics, to promote young people to follow and preserve traditional customs. It is set up as a multi-dimensional Talk show with two main parts: MEMORY and CONTEMPORARY.
NẾP NHÀ 1, THEME “VẠT ÁO NGÀN NĂM”
Part 1: “Memory”
– Story 1: “Phá dỡ ký ức”
– Story 2: “Những mảnh vải vụn”
Phần 2: “Contemporary”
– Story 3: “Sải bước kiêu hãnh” ~ Miss Vietnam Ngọc Hân
– Story 4: “Tôi là một người đàn ông đương đại” ~ Photographer Dao Ngoc Hieu
– Story 5: “Những đường may”
Non-profit program. Entry fee 50 000 VND to cover organization cost and renting cost.
Free entry for children and elderly. Please mention the participants clearly when registering.
