Based on the homonym novel by Miguel Delibes, The Innocent saints was directed by Mario Camus in 1984. A classic of the Spanish cinema, a history about rural areas in the 60’s, a film about social classes, about power and submission; narrated in a precise and efficient way, almost austere, but with splendid interpretations.
