Nocturne, a name that evokes the beauty of the night sky, is a romantic and deeply emotional musical genre, often likened to a hushed confession under the moonlight. The lyrical and soaring melodies of a nocturne are more than just sounds from a piano; they are a profound self-reflection, inviting listeners into a space for contemplation and dreams. This very beauty, pensive and poetic, creates a bond that connects the artist’s soul with the audience’s deepest emotions.
On the night of the “Steinway Nocturne” piano recital, join us in this romantic setting with the talented artist Nguyễn Phương Nhi – a Vietnamese-born pianist currently living and teaching in Germany. With over 26 years of devotion to the piano, Phương Nhi will guide the audience through an emotional musical journey, from the classical works of Franz Liszt and Frédéric Chopin to her own contemporary arrangements of modern pieces like Cry Me a River and I Will Survive. Her performance highlights her unique style and creative approach to modern music. With a desire to introduce and honor talented Vietnamese artists, “Steinway Nocturne” is an opportunity for Nguyễn Phương Nhi to fully express her contemporary spirit and creativity. By skillfully blending classical and modern music, she not only creates innovative arrangements but also delivers an emotionally rich musical experience, connecting deeply with the audience through every key she touches.
A special highlight of the “Steinway Nocturne” piano recital is the impressive presentation from Steinway Spirio – a high-tech self-playing piano system that perfectly recreates the performance of world-renowned pianist Lang Lang, combined with a video presentation on a large screen. The event will take place in the cozy atmosphere of The Nexx, located at 32 Pham Ngoc Thach, Xuan Hoa Ward. Following the concert, guests are invited to an exclusive wine reception at Somme Wine Bar, situated on the building’s rooftop, to enjoy drinks and admire the panoramic cityscape at night. Each ticket includes a special glass of selected wine from Somme Wine Bar and a gift from the premium piano brand Steinway & Sons.
The event is organized by Hanoi Grapevine and The Nexx, and sponsored by the piano brand Steinway & Sons – Steinway Spirio Piano and the wine brand Somme Wine Bar.
