“Creative with Tò He”

“Tò He” is a Vietnamese traditional toy. By using simple materials such as mixture of sticky rice powder and dye, the craftsman combines with easily available tools to roll and mould the powder into colorful “Tò He” characters. There are many “Tò He” characters ranging from simple ones such as pig, chicken, fruit, rose to famous generals, imaginary things and even modern characters in contemporary foreign comic books. Like many other folk games & toys, Tò He is facing many challenges at this moment but it will still be a distinctive value in Vietnamese culture and spirit.

GreenZoom’s December Art Talk will explore the topic “Creative with Tò He”.
The talk will be organized with the spirit Creating and Sharing: the first session will be an introduction to Tò He art and the second one will be the opportunity for participants to create their own Tò He.
We invite you to join GreenZoom in Art Talk 3 to meet the craftsman, to learn and foster your own imagination.

Language: Vietnamese (English translation is available for foreign participants)
