Flamenco and jazz hybrid made in Barcelona and led by the pianist from Cádiz Javier Galiana, the first Spanish piano-jazz graduate and Manu Chao’s regular keyboardist.
These concerts will be held within the framework of the European Union Contemporary Music Festival. The Spanish quintet will perform a repertoire of flamenco jazz fusion music. The leader of the group Javier Galiano was born in Cadiz and created this fusion of jazz and flamenco in Barcelona. He was the first graduate in piano jazz in Spain and usually plays the keyboard with the artist Manu Chao. Please advise if I can pick tickets up at the concert. Since I work, I am unable to go to the Spanish embassy to get tickets to Friday night’s flamenco and I would love to see/hear it!
