“Tropical Malady”

This week’s HI-DeFF Screening presents experimental film “Tropical Malady” by Thai artist Apichatpong Weerasethkul (2004).
It is a film in two segments – the first part a romance story about two homosexual men, and the second a mysterious tale about a soldier lost in the woods, bedeviled by the spirit of a shaman. It won the Jury Prize at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival and was the first Thai film to be in the main competition at Cannes.
Sitting is limited to 30. First come, first serve.

HI-DeFF and TPD Center host a biweekly screening of independent, experimental and art films and videos on every other Friday at 6:30pm.
