From the off-beat to the backbeat, “Beats From Above” mixes the dimensions of sound and vision in a hard hitting compilation of international and local short film. Climb above London’s metropolis on a construction crane, soar over Sydney in “fake miniature”, delve into the subterranean world of Parisian gangs and take a ride into the mind of Unknown Rebel and local film maker Do Dang Thuong.
This screening forms part of Future Shorts Festival – a monthly festival of short film shown in 50 cities worldwide. Vietnam recently joined this worldwide film community when they launched at dOSe Party in August 09. Organised by film loving collective “mê phim” who are currently taking short film submissions for their next event in Ha Noi in December.
