Violence is the title of a thematic art exhibition about women’s situation in Vietnam today.

All artworks presented at the exhibition are made by female artists, 12 Vietnamese, one French and 4 Danish artists. The exhibition is curated by the Vietnamese artist Vu Thi Trang, who has selected a group of contemporary artists from all over Vietnam who all produce new works about women’s conditions, and 4 Danish artists, who has partaken in earlier shows at Hanoi Future Art.

The title Violence refers to the different kinds of violence that women suffer; physical, social, economic and ethnic violence, and is a multifaceted and constructive statement in the gender debate in Vietnam today, promoting gender equality.

This event is part of the Happy Denmark program.
