Hip-hop fans, watch out! Uppercut is on their way. With their captivating blend of modern dance, street dance, electric boogie and physical theatre, Uppercut has created their own unique style on the frontier between modern dance and theatre. Using the latest styles and dealing with subjects that are relevant to a young target group, these professional dance theatre performances have great appeal for children and young people.
The theatre’s huge outreach program has opened doors to a whole new audience group. The theatre has performed in many venues where one would normally not see dance theatre: At the office, at conferences, in Parliament, in the park, at the museum, in the library – even on the ice during a curling match!
This time in Hanoi, Uppercut will collaborate with the multi-cultural band ‘Peace of Middle East’ and Big Toe – one of the most well-known dance group of Vietnam. They will also perform their renowned piece ‘Universe’ – a combination of break-dance, contemporary dance with classical and world music.
This event is part of the Happy Denmark program.
