Once upon a time in glorious watercolor at L’Espace.

Ta Huy Long’s exhibition of illustrative watercolors is really glorious and will go down as one of the most memorable this year.

L’Espace is a difficult place to mount an effective exhibition but Ta Huy Long has overcome it all and you are almost luxuriously surrounded by his intricate, painstaking and beautiful large pieces.

The 35-year-old artist is an illustrator of children’s literature at Kim Dong Publishing House and when you see the whimsical, playful, exquisite work in this exhibition you’ll understand why he has an international reputation, has been honored in international prizes, and why he was awarded the 2006 Hanoi Fine Arts Association’s Grand Prize.

See the work and you’ll be entranced. Take your children along for a bit of magic enthrallment.

This is an exhibition that everyone will like and most will love and a lot of viewers will make their way to the Kim Dong bookshop in Quan Trung Street opposite Thien Quang Lake to search out some of the books beautifully illustrated by Ta Huy Long even if they can’t read Vietnamese.
