Attention Artists: Final call for Submissions
A window until the rains come: albb Open Studio program 2010
Submission Deadline: Tue 15 Dec, 2009
albb Open Studio program project is open to visual artists, photographers, designers, architects, musicians and other creative people who want to share their work and their thoughts on creativity in an unusual, interactive way.
In a bustling part of downtown Ho Chi Minh City, a 2nd-floor cafe will be turned into a flexible, open, creative studio. While participating artists go about their daily creation, members of the general public can drop by at any time to watch, chat or perhaps even take part. Unexpected friendships may form, new thoughts on creativity emerge, as everyday worlds and artistic worlds meet.
For artists living overseas or in other parts of Vietnam, this is a flexible and alternative way to do something here, right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.
Detailed information about the program can be found in this previous post on HanoiGrapevine.

a little blah blah (albb) is an artists’ initiative that since 2005 has operated as a platform for contemporary art through a wide range of channels including projects, exhibitions & events, screenings, talks, a residency program, internships and an open-access archive of art books & catalogues. Our program has evolved in a pioneering spirit, in response to the gaps and needs of the Saigon art scene. Working in an environment in which the ‘alternative’ is the arena presenting the greatest possibilities, albb seeks to remain constantly responsive to the changing landscape of opportunities and developments in Ho Chi Minh City. Since 2008 albb has re-focused its program to presenting one major project each year. Please see our weblog for a detailed history of our activities.
