The Embassy of Spain has the honour to invite you to the concert of the Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra directed by Carlos Cuesta. Manuel de Falla, La Romanza de Zarzuela and Ruperto Chapí (whose death centennial we commemorate), are the main parts of this concert, which is meant to be an homage to the Spanish music and lyrical tradition.

Carlos Cuesta is currently the director of the Atelier Gombau Chamber Orchestra. His keen interest on modern music has seen him producing a great deal of world premieres and recordings of works by Spanish and Latin American authors. He has played an important role as an opera conductor conducting in recent years productions such as La Bohème, Tosca, Madama Butterfly, El Barbero de Sevilla, Un Ballo in Maschera, Il Trovatore, Don Pasquale, Lucia, Mefistófeles…etc
