Hanoian artists exhibiting in Israel

Minotaure Gallery is pleased to present Face To Face – an exhibition of five contemporary artists from Vietnam: La Ba Quan, Vu Thu Hien, Dang Thao Ngoc, Le Anh Quan & Trinh Tuan.

[This exhibition] presents the concept of the face as defined by the artists – two women and three men, ranging in age from 28 to 48 years, all born and living in Hanoi. Their styles are varied, as are the mediums of their work – oil on canvas, watercolor on handmade paper, and lacquer on wood… The exhibiting artists belong to the Doi Moi (open door) generation, a ‘generation without complexes’, enjoying artistic freedom and forging new directions. No longer hampered by colonialism, post-colonialism and warfare, these artists have embarked upon a voyage of exploration, imbuing traditional Asian values and motifs with a new directness.
