DOCLAB cordially invites you to the screening of State of Emergency – a series of public projections – organized and curated by artists/curators Sherry Millner and Ernest Larsen. Initially, it was rear-projected in the second-floor windows of the loft in which they live in New York City. Subsequent editions, featuring contributions by more than 15 media artists, have screened at a variety of unconventional venues in the U.S. and Europe.
Please note: The films are in English, with no Vietnamese subtitle.
After the screening there will be a discussion with the two artists and curators.
Ernie Larsen & Sherry Millner are a pair of collaborative videomakers and sometime curators from New York City. In addition to his work in video, Ernest Larsen is a fiction writer, media critic, scriptwriter, and contributing producer for several PBS series and for the National Geographic Channel. His collaborative video projects with Sherry Millner have been exhibited and have won awards at major festivals throughout the world including two Whitney Biennials. Sherry Millner has been producing films, videotapes, and photomontages since the mid-1970s. Her tapes are remarkable for their mixture of humor, analysis, and personal insight.

Oh there is just too much on this Saturday night. Is it possible to have repeat of this event or a replay of the video at a quieter date?
