Another reading in our Literary Series with travel writer John Krich, who is described as “one of the most original voices in new travel writing”. Krich has written for many leading travel magazines, and his articles have appeared in the New York Times, San Francisco Examiner Magazine, Washington Post, and the Chicago Tribune. He has been the Food columnist, film, culture and design writer for the Asian Wall Street Journal and now lives in Bangkok.
Educated at Reed College and New York University Film School, John Krich has received many award, including a Special Citation, 1982 PEN/Ernest Hemingway Award (for best first novel in U.S., A Totally Free Man), and was twice the recipient of the National Endowment of the Arts Literary Fellowship.
