Atonement tells a story of a 13 year old girl living in the 30s of the last century, whose jealousy and misunderstanding ruined the love of her sister and the housekeeper’s son and broke them apart. World War broke out and brought about dramatic changes, the young girl, now was a military nurse, still felt guilty for what she had done…

Atonement is a 2007 film adaptation of Ian McEwan’s novel of the same name, directed by Joe Wright, based on a screenplay by Christopher Hampton, and starring James McAvoy, Keira Knightley, and Saoirse Ronan.
