Viet Art Centre cordially invites you to the second solo exhibition of Nguyen Thanh Hoa

The idea of a year-round summer tropical space, blue sky and white clouds came when the author and a friend went on a trip through Vietnam by bus on the solstice day from 4 to 24 of June, 2007. The landscape of the country, the people she met, the stories heard on the road prompted the author to draw this series of paintings.

Nguyen Thanh Hoa was born in 1979 in Hanoi. She graduated from Hanoi University of Fine Arts (now called the Vietnam University of Fine Arts) in 2002 and studied oil painting in 5th year at the Russian Academy of Fine Arts I. Repina, St Petersburg. She is a founding member of HanoiLink.

She has had many solo exhibitions, group exhibitions and video art exhibitions such as “365 Days” (2005), “Nude” (2005), “2112” (2006), “Hanoilink – A Preview” (2007), “Good for the stomach” (2008), “Steps of peace” (in Korea – 2009), “X-Seconds” (2010), etc.
