Hoi An – Japan Festival 2010

The people’s committee of Hoi An City, in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan, Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam (The Japan Foundation), JICA, Sakai city and Showa Women’s University, cheerfully presents the 8th “Hoi An – Japan Festival 2010”.

Among many kinds of activities, Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam (The Japan Foundation) will contribute to conduct the following events:

Yukata (traditional Japanese cloth) wearing trial corner
The visitors (female only) can try wearing Yukata and enjoy taking photos in Japanese traditional cloth.

Therapeutic Robot: PARO
The Guinness world record holder in the effect of healing mental illness of human being, the therapeutic robot PARO is coming to Hoi An. The visitors can enjoy communicating with PARO by touching, holding and calling.

Origami (paper folding) workshop
The visitors can enjoy the traditional Japanese folk art of paper folding instructed by Japanese participants.
