Quan De temple: Story of an exemplary restoration

Hanoi and Toulouse cities invite you to discover the Quan De temple, reopened to the public a short time ago after an important restoration.
On this occasion, an exhibition, which will be held until September 30th 2010, explains the exemplary methods used and the different steps of the restoration.
Although it is quite the youngster being only 200 years of age, the site had been gravely damaged by natural causes. However, when it was reopened to the public last month (July). “90 per cent of the original design was restored”, said Pham Tuan Long, deputy head of the Ha Noi Old Quarter Management Department.
