On the occasion of 79th birthday of Prof. Tran Van Khe – Vietnamese well-known cultural and traditional music researcher, Press Café cordially invites you to the screening of “A town like Alice” by director Jack Lee with the participation of Prof. Tran Van Khe.

The film “A Town Like Alice” based on the novel by writer Nevil Shute, the French translated name is “Ma Vie en Malaisie commence.” In the movie, Prof. Tran Van Khe casted Japanese Captain Sugaya, ruled the British and Australian prison. He starred with Peter Finch and Virginia Mac Kenna, particularly also with the participation of Vietnamese actor Vu Ngoc Tuan.
The film won two official awards and three other nominations in BAFTA film festivals in 1957 and was selected for screening at Cannes in the same year.
