48 Hour Film Project Vietnam: calling for submissions

The 48 Hour Film Project is now in full swing and has some need to know information.
First, The 48 Hour Film Projects is now working in partnership with HK Film – one of the leading producers of Film and TV in Vietnam. This promises some interesting things to project this year!
Second, the dates for the Ho Chi Minh City 48 Hour Film Project have changed as follows:
• The 48 Hour Filming Period is now from the 29 – 31 October 2010. (Not the 1 – 3 Oct)
• The Screening dates are pencilled in between the 7th-9th of November and will be held at MegaStar Cinemas! (The number of nights will depend on the number of films submitted)
• The Awards ceremony will happen on the 10th of November at the Saigon Opera House.
Unfortunately, the fate of the Hanoi 48HFP has been sealed and it will be run next year instead. However, if you are able to get a representative in Ho Chi Minh City to be there on the Kick-Off event at the beginning of the 48 Hour Film Period and are able to transfer the film by internet back to that person for the Drop-Off on Sunday by 7pm – then you are definitely welcome to enter! Let me know if you need help in finding a representative!
Also, registrations have been open for a few weeks, more than 10 teams had already signed up and we hope to get around 30 teams this year so recommend your friends or workmates to get involved! Please start thinking about putting a team together and registering your team at www.48hourfilm.com/vietnam.
The prizes will be announced soon and these will include possible studio / equipment / post-production rental hours. Prizes already confirm are Francis Ford Coppola Limited edition wine packages from The Warehouse and the new Nokia N8.
Recently, the 48 Hour Film Project has also announced the winning film from Vietnam will screen with the other 48HFP City Winners at the next Filmapalooza at the Miami International Film Festival in the USA. So that is definitely exciting news!
