KVT – Photography Exhibition by Doug Jardine

VERY LONG LONG BIEN
For Long Bien buffs, black and white photograph fans, and enthusiasts of pre digital era cameras, there’s an interesting exhibition at MDA (Maison Des Arts).
Douglas Jardine, American expat and respected historian and researcher on Hanoian architecture (and a long time Long Bien Bridge documenter) has mounted another look at the structure that has, over the last couple of years, captivated some of the best and most talented photographers and hordes of the mediocre.
Douglas is a vintage camera addict and for this series has used a Rolleiflex twin lens reflex-circa 1950 and a Hasselblad 500C single lens reflex-circa 1967.
His elongated landscapes are atmospherically intriguing and it would be interesting to see a continuous a frieze of them around a gallery without other images stealing your gaze.
