Update: Panel Discussion and Film Screening at L’Espace

British Council Vietnam is organizing an international youth discussion talk focusing on a topic of “how to become a great climate leader” and its public premiere “Climate Champions Vietnam” – a short documentary directed by Paul Zetter, an award winning filmmaker, with the original soundtrack composed by Duc Tri.

About the discussion:
The evening will bring together an international leadership panel of active climate champions and leaders from East Asia and Australia. They will come together to share experience and best practice in developing leadership for climate change, exchange inspiration and experience on how to be a great climate change leader. Moreover, representatives from the Government of Vietnam, international agencies, and an active audience of over 200 young people will also take part in the discussion.

The event will involve presentations from young climate champions from countries from across East Asia East Asia countries and Australia, including the three young Vietnamese climate champions who attended the
United Nations Climate Change negotiations in 2009 (COP15). There will also be a, and discussion from current
well-known leaders on the impact of leadership in reducing harmful effects of climate change about what shapes national and international climate leadership. The forum will encourage active dialogue between the audience and the panel, and aims to helpmake peopleeveryone think about how they can be a better climate leader in their own professional career and local community.

About the film:
The documentary follows the amazing journey of the three British Council Climate Champions on their battle against climate change and showcases how young people can make a difference and inspire others to take positive actions what young people can do as well as inspire the others to take actions.
