The conference to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Albert Camus will be held in L’Espace.
With the participation of Mr. Tran Van Hinh, professor of French literature at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Hanoi, author of the essay “Novels of Albert Camus in the context of French novels of the twentieth century” (Hanoi, 2005) and Ms. Dinh Thi Thanh Huyen, (MA in French literature, graduate thesis on Albert Camus, 2008), currently works for Nha Nam.
A novelist, playwright, essayist and journalist, Albert Camus is perhaps the ultimate example of French post-war’s writer and scholar. Deeply committed to the struggles and debates of his time, he plays a major role in the literature of the twentieth century.
He is the author of Stranger, The Plague, The Misunderstanding … which have been translated to Vietnamese. In 1957, he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature.
