From Brazilian Embassy:
Brazilian Cinema has gone through many periods with noticeable marks: pioneer period of world cinema, documentary films and fiction films, funny films in 1950s, cartoon with music parts, new cinema of 1960s which was born at the same time as nouvelle vague of France, with the purpose of finding place in current movements, with more profound films which do not focus on public. Seven films which are chosen by Brazilian Embassy to screen this time are suitable for all ages.
