Benefit for Vietnamese Victims of Agent Orange

Wed 30 Mar 2011, 7 pm
Cinematheque
22A Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi

From Veterans for Peace and Madison Quakers, Inc:

The public is invited to an evening of film, music, and discussion about humanitarian work at Cinematheque.

In the evening’s program, documentary director Tran Van Thuy will show his award-winning film The Sound of the Violin at My Lai, which features the fiddle music and words of Boehm. This will be followed by discussion of ongoing humanitarian work by MQI and other NGOs in Vietnam, the challenges they face, and a look to the future.

It will end with a musical performance by Boehm and the Mossman Family Band, who helped raise moral and monetary support for victims of Agent Orange in Vietnam through house concerts in the Midwestern U.S. They are currently in Vietnam to deliver these funds and share music, school children’s art, and friendship.

Donations for this continuing humanitarian work will be gratefully accepted.
