From Goethe Institut:
Two German bands will perform at the Hanoi Sound Stuff Festival 2011: Timeart Ensemble and Coma.

Coma: Cosmic Techno Pop
Fri 15 Apr 2011, 8.45 – 9.45
Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Paris – since 2007 Coma has been touring through Europe’s Clubs and carries the crowds away with its electronic dance music. At major events like the c/o Pop Festival in Cologne or the Swedish Arvica Festival Coma has also made a name for themselves.

Coma are Georg Conrad and Marius Bubat from Cologne, who already got to know each other in school. After a short career as Indie-Rock band they switched to danceable Techno. During 2008 and 2009 they published all together three EP’s with the record labels Kompakt and Firm (Extended Plays).

The German music magazine De:Bug anticipates a great future for the Techno-Duo: “Soon, they’ll be the biggest at Kompakt” .

Timeart Ensemble: Intermedial Improvisation
Sat 16 Apr 2011, 7.15 0 8.15 pm

In cooperation with Vietnamese musicians, the Timeart Ensemble, composed of the German sound and video artists Matthias Muche (trombone) and Sven Hahne (VJing), presents a novel form of artistic expression at the Hanoi Sound Stuff Festival 2011: a spontaneous fusion of classical instruments, electronic music and video installations.
On stage, the artists enter into a dialogue with their audiovisual improvisation which leaves room for new forms of aesthetics and interpretation. Even though the music cannot be characterized as melodious, the bizarre and unconventional sound tapestry leaves the audience spellbound.

According to critics the exceptional sound of the Ensemble is “a sudden revelation for lovers of soundscapes, simultaneous improvisation and synchronized visualization”.
