Video Competition about Climate Change: calling for application

The Delegation of the European Union in collaboration with the Sinh Vien Newspaper (Students) organises a short video making competition on the impact of climate change in Vietnam. The event is also part of a series of one-month long intellectual and cultural activities in the context of “Europe Days 2011” marking Europe Day – 9 May.
Applicants:
The competition is open to all Vietnamese students residing and attending universities in Vietnam.
Requirements:
Students can send contesting short videos which reflect how climate change affect our lives and are filmed by only either digital photo cameras or mobile phones. The duration of a contesting video should not last more than five minutes and be accompanied by a narration which can be either subtitled or voiced-over. The full regulation can be found at www.delvnmhan.europa.europa.eu. The jury for the competition consists of well-known environment specialists, professional cameramen and media representative.
Prizes:
Three main prizes:
(1) How effective the video is in conveying the message of the impact of climate change
(2) Originality of the way in which the message of the impact of climate change is captured
(3) How heart-touching the video is.
