From VCMN:
VCMN is a non-profit open network of choral conductors, choral music composers, choristers and choral music lovers from Vietnam. Initiated by Mr. Pham Hong Hai, Vice-Director of Vietnam National Opera Ballet in Hanoi, VCMN was founded in 2011 on the occasion of the 1st Vietnam International Choir Festival & Competition in Hoi An City. A handful of Vietnamese choral directors were sitting together on March 19, 2011 in Hoi An and decided to collaborate and exchange their thoughts and music in the future, the hour of birth of VCMN!
The aims of VCMN shall be:
– The collaboration of Vietnamese choral conductors,
– The exchange of experiences,
– The creating and forming of educational programs for choral conductors in Vietnam,
– The participation of Vietnamese choirs in international choral festivals and competitions,
– The development and promotion of choral events in Vietnam,
– The development of choral music compositions,
– The collaboration with choral organizations in other countries.
