You are invited to the film screening “The Moon at the Bottom of the Well” of director Nguyen Vinh Son with the cast of Cao Hoang De and Hong Anh. The film received Silver Kite Award for the Best Film in 2008 and Best Leading Actress Award in the International Film Festival in Dubai.
Synopsis: Hanh is a teacher in a high school where her husband, Phuong, is the headmaster. They are a happy couple. Unfortunately, Hanh is unable to bear a child and she agrees to let her husband have a child with another woman in order to satisfy traditional demand of her mother-in-law: have a grandson to continue the ancestral line. All is kept secret to avoid bad rumors for the family. However, the secret is revealed. After a lot of bitterness and disappointment, Hanh knows that her husband and his family take advantage of her noble love. She is just the victim of her bad husband as well as a cruel society. In the loneliness and desperation, she finds love in another world: the world of the dead.
