Attention K-Pop Fan: KPop Contest 2011

KPOP Contest 2011: is calling for participation
Time for submission: 01 – 27 Aug 2011

From Korean Cultural Centre:
You are invited to the singing contest for K-Pop, organized by Korean Cultural Center to Vietnam and Office for Korean Tourism and Culture. Let’s join the competition to win tickets to participate in K-Pop International Contest on 26th November 2011 in Korea and other valuable prizes.

Requirements:
– Eligible applicants are Vietnamese citizens who like K-Pop and like singing K-pop from all occupation and aged from 15 to 45.
– Contestants could do solo or group performance (maximum 5 people/group)
– Contestants must sing in Korean.

Structure of the contest:
– Submission of application forms and screening: Applying from 01 – 27 Aug 2011, and short-list announcement 29 – 31 Aug 2011

– Elimination round:
+ In HCMC: From 9 am – 6 pm, 03 Sep 2011 – Ball room, Sofitel Plaza, 17 Le Duan, District 1, HCMC (This round will select 6~7 contestants/group to participate in Final Round which will take place in Hanoi. They will be sponsored with air tickets. Advance payments can be claimed after the final rehearsal on 01 Oct 2011 in Hanoi).
+ In Hanoi: From 9 am – 6 pm, 10 Sep 2011 – Grand Ballroom, Daewoo Hanoi, 360 Kim Ma, Hanoi. (This round will select 6~7 contestants/groups to participate in Final Round).
– Final Round: From 6 – 10 pm, 01 Oct 2011 – Au Co Art Center – 8 Huynh Thuc Khang, Hanoi.
– K-Pop International Singing Contest: The winner of the Final round will participate in the K-Pop International Singing Contest in Korea on 26 Nov2011. The Organizing Board will sponsor the entire trip.

Judging Pannel:
– Director of Korean Cultural Center to Vietnam, Head of Representative Office for Korean Tourism and Culture, one Vietnamese musician or singer, Producer of Vietnamese Broadcasting Television, Sponsors of the contest.

Selecting criteria:
– Vocal, performing style, Korean pronunciation, costume and efforts of contestants

Prizes:
– 4th Prize (2 prizes): Samsung Galaxy Ace
– 3rd Prize (1 prize): Samsung Galaxy S2
– 2nd Prize (1 prize): Samsung Smart TV LED Series 7 46”
– 1st Prize (1 prize): The rights to participate in the K-Pop International Singing Contest on 26 Nov 2011 in Korea and the entire trip will be sponsored.

How to register:

2. Complete application form
3. Upload 1 recording sample (30 second ~ 1 minute, video or audio with the picture of the contestant) to You Tube. Include the link for video/audio in the application form.
