From the Italian Embassy Hanoi:
In the framework of Y Viet 2011 and on the occasion of the XI Edition of the Italian Language Week in the World, the Embassy of Italy in Vietnam, in cooperation with Nha Nam Publishers proudly organizes a meeting with the journalist Beppe Severgnini, author of The Head of the Italians (Nha Nam Publishers). The meeting will be held at the “Creative Space Club” Trung Nguyen Café (36 Dien Bien Phu -Hanoi), on Monday 3 October 2011 at 5 p.m.

With some foreign friends the author discovers Italy and its homes, squares, shops, churches, stadiums and beaches: ten days and thirty places giving an overview of the culture and values of the Italian people. The head of Italians is the last unexplored region of the Country, and it is interesting a tour in it.

A tour across Italy with these foreign friends, in which the author “translates” the Country: the unknown rules  of the streets and the orderly anarchy of an office, the talkativeness of trains and the wisdom of an Hotel, the reassurance of a church and the crowding of a bedroom, the importance of a beach and the democracy of the living room. This book helps Italian and Vietnamese people getting closer to each other and get a complete image of Italy, through many lifestyle hints, from North to South, from food to sport and finally from morality to politic.
