From Yxine Film Fest:
After 4 months calling upon entries from filmmakers, YxineFF (Yxine Film Fest) – the online short film festival will begin its official screening from 30.09.2011 at www.yxineff.com. It opens with an event introducing 2011 on the coming Saturday 01.10.2011 in Paris, co-organised by the YDA Club and the French-Vietnamese Organisation for Economic & Cultural Exchange.

The online short film festival YxineFF (Yxine Film Fest) received more than 150 entries. The film selection committee handpicked around 120 films for screening during the time YxineFF 2011 takes place from 30.09.2011 to 12.12.2011. The film Dog Day by director Phan Xine will open YxineFF 2011 atwww.yxineff.com on 30.09.2011 and will be screened on 7 consecutive days.

Films shown in Paris

The bilingual French-Vietnamese program will be held at La Clef theatre in central Paris, starting at 14h30 with the screening of Dog Day – director Phan Xine’s graduation project, inspired from writer Nguyen Ngoc Thuan’s Human Story, Dog Story. This is the opening film of the festival. (For more information about the film and the director, please see attached file).

Other films shown in the program include the documentary Where the wind blows from director Trinh Dinh Le Minh (USA), the fiction The fading light from director Do Thien (USA), the animation Morning Songs from the group Thi-Von Muong-Hane, Chongkham Phonekeo, Vilakone Phachanthavong (Laos) and the fiction An Interrogation from director Nghiem Trang (Czech Republic).
