Cedric Hanriot Trio Caught in Rehearsal
Ending their Asia tour after performances in China, Indonesia and Singapore, French pianist Cedric Hanriot and his trio performed at L’Espace in Hanoi last week. L’Espace continue to bring us some of the best emerging jazz artists from Europe.
Promoting their highly successful debut CD ‘French Stories’ (buy below) which merges contemporary piano jazz with sound samples, spoken voice electronica and hip hop beats, Cedric plus Bertrand Beruard on bass and Jean Baptiste Pinet on drums performed a selection from the album that included re-interpretations of songs by Jacques Brel and Serge Gainsbourg.
