Sitting around on sofas, bemoaning a lack of a music scene in Hanoi has become a thing of the PAST! Hanoi Rock City is thrilled to present on Saturday 8th October: THE FUTURE. Three young bands who have the spirit to change everything.

A.K.A.T: flying up from Ho Chi Minh City for their hat trick performance at HRC! These psychedelic, stoner rockers are back from the grave for the first time since vocalist/bassist Bush relocated to Hanoi. Since then, the A.K.A.T trio have been involved in various music projects – Bush pursuing his DJing, Moe became one half of Moeth, and fashion designer to opening a shop. Still, when rock calls, these lads cannot resist. Quite likely one of the most important live bands you will see play in Vietnam.

GỖ LIM: with a change in band members, a modified name (previously known as Golem), and a whole bunch of new material under their belt, Gỗ Lim are asserting themselves as Vietnam’s answer to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Lyrically unique and damn right sexy, particularly with the introduction of captivating front woman Nhí, Gỗ Lim will be the ones to keep your eyes on in 2012. You read it here first.

RE-CYCLE: popular and entertaining, Re-Cycle are an alternative rock band who know how to work the crowd. Handpicked to play the C.A.M.A festival in 2010, Re-Cycle have rocked various big stages and released a couple of EPs and singles, including Vượt qua… the official music video was filmed in Hanoi Rock City!
