From the organizer:
The next event from PROJECT BLACK features a self taught artist from the fringe of Vietnamese society. Hoang Xuan Huong, the son of a Muong mother and Chinese father struggles with a heroin habit on the hard streets of Hanoi before finding some kind of redemption through his art .
These extraordinary highly stylistic paintings influenced by tribal shamanistic elements examine this journey.
Opening the show is a performance by Nguyen The Hung shows furniture mutating along with our society .
