Cinematheque
From the organizer:
You are invited to see the screening of 3 films: “The Quiet Teachers”, “Recyclers – Countrywomen in the City” and “Hiphop – My Life”. These three innovative films are part of a Ford Foundation community based media project involving staff from both the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology and VTV5. Project participants worked with 3 diverse communities in Ha Noi to guide them in finding and expressing the stories they want to tell in their own voices.
The three communities are: Young People who live to hip hop dance, A group of University Students who work as home tutors, and Women Recyclers from Nam Dinh Province who come to Hanoi to earn a living by trading scrap. Each film is about 25 minutes long. Some community members and project participants will be present to share their experiences of creating these films.
