17TH DECEMBER be the date. HANOI ROCK CITY be the place. CELEBRATION be the name. Born a fiery Sagittarius in 2010 and still a steaming rebel twelve months on, Hanoi Rock City (HRC) is about to turn ONE YEAR OLD on 17th December, 2011.

The whole city is invited to get in on it by coming out to celebrate in the HUGE * FREE * SHINDIG on our birthday, headlined by Thailand’s most famous live reggae and dub band, The Sticky Rice, and featuring more than 15 diverse live bands, acts, artists and performers from 2PM – 2AM on the day.

Many of these acts have grown through the course of the year and are integral to what has blown up musically here in 2011. Delighted to host these artists for the last time before they all get sozzled for Chrimbo and the NYE, it promises to be a sensational birthday smash out. There really could be no better present for the party chasers and sweet music fanbases of Hanoi.

With literally hundreds of performers taking to the stage across the year and thousands of faces passing through our doors and others to engage with the talent pit – the capital’s music and entertainment culture is undoubtedly taking a massive body wiggling stride in the right direction.
