From Korean Cultural Center:
The Korean Cultural Center organizes an exhibition titled “The Three Small Roads” of 3 artists Ha Anh Tuan, Chu Viet Cuong and Cong Quoc Thang. 3 friends, 3 roads but they are travelling on one same road, the road for arts. The exhibition is the contribution of the Vietnamese young artists who are full of dreams and passion to the Vietnamese Fine Arts in the future.
Chu Viet Cuong was born in 1981 in Hanoi and graduated from Hanoi Fine Arts College in 2007. He loves the simple life in the countryside and it clearly reflects in his shading of the trees, the house in his lacquer paintings which bring the feeling of tranquility to look at. He was honored to have his paintings in the exhibition The Capital City and the Nation from 2009 until now.
Ha Anh Tuan was born in 1980. He was a self-taught artist. His teachers are the books that he found from the library. He finds his own way to express his feelings. He uses the warm yellow tone in most of his paintings which brings back the memory of the people about the countryside in the northern plains. His lacquer paintings have been displayed in the exhibition The Capital City and the Nation.
Cong Quoc Thang is the youngest artists of the three. Borned and bred in a family with tradition in art, he had chances to visit his relatives’ lacquer workshop and it triggered his passion. In 2007, he graduated from Hanoi Fine Art College with his lacquer paintings which received a very high mark. Since 2005, he has his works displayed in various Contemporary Art Exhibition in Denmark organized by Hanoi Asian Art House. His art works are quite well received from the international collectors.
