The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology organizes a New Year Program in 2 days from 28 to 29 January 2012. It is a great chance to introduce to the general public traditional customs through games, activities, food testing…Especially, this time visitors will have an opportunity to explore more about traditional rituals of the people in Phu Tho area such as “xoan” singing, catching ells, making Vietnamese cake and many games of Cao Lan minority.
The program includes 16 traditional games from difference ethnic minorities such as Hmong, Ede, Thai… Besides, children will learn more about the 12 animals, draw on Bat Trang ceramic, etc. Vietnamese traditional cuisine is another fun thing to do. Visitors will have a chance to find out how to make special cakes of Phu Tho and many areas of Vietnam. In addition, visitors could also try on ethnic minorities’ costumes from Hmong, Dao, Thai, Phu La, etc and take photographs.
