German Opera Night in Haiphong

On March 11th 2012, young talents of the VNOB will present excerpts from Mozart‘s „Die Zauberflöte“, Beethoven‘s „Fidelio“ und Wagner‘s „Der Fliegende Holländer“ and thus perform highlights of German operas which have not yet been played in Vietnam. The performance also takes place in Hanoi on 09 and 10 Mar.
The VNOB’s soloists will be accompanied by Mr. David Miller on piano. David Miller, répétiteur and conductor at the Théàtre de la Monnaie in Brussels, has worked with world-class talents for many years. For the German Opera Night he conducted an intense workshop with eight of the VNOB’s soloists: Vu (Tenor), Thang Long (Soprano), To Loan (Soprano), Le Thi Vanh Khuyen (Mezzo-Soprano), Diep (Mezzo-Soprano), Trinh Thanh Binh (Tenor), Vu Manh Dung (Baritone).

After the success of the German Film Festival Vietnam 2010 which, among other destinations, also toured Haiphong, as well as the trio concerts last November, we would now like to continue our series of successful German-Vietnamese events in Haiphong.
